It was a pleasure working with this amazing couple to create their unique ruby engagement ring! They wanted something different than a diamond, and she wanted the red of the ruby as a nod to her Chinese heritage.
UNIQUE RUBY ENGAGEMENT RING
Accented with Padparadsha sapphires and set in yellow gold for a warm, sunny color palette.
My clients walked into my studio looking for a ruby ring. They were open to unique ideas and accent stones. This gorgeous red ruby is delightfully accented with the rarest of sapphires, the peachy orange Padparadsha sapphire. My client, a talented woodwork artist, designed an incredible one-of-a-kind wooden box that opens like a flower to present the engagement ring when he proposed along the lake in Michigan.
My client was looking for a special diamond to give his long time girlfriend. He knew exactly what she wanted and the ring was to be simple, elegant and timeless.
CLASSIC ENGAGEMENT RING
A gorgeous Diamond set in Platinum
I was excited to get started and find the perfect diamond.
I scoured the market to find diamonds that fit their specifications —price, carat weight (size ), color, cut, clarity. I found four stones that seemed perfect and Molly quickly found her favorite.
The diamond was placed in a platinum setting, held in place by four prongs… the diamond engagement ring she’d always dreamed of.
The ring was delivered along with a bottle of Champagne to toast this milestone event. A few weeks later... a lakefront proposal!
REIMAGINED HEIRLOOMS® MEETS BRIDAL
This ring is the combination of baguettes from my client’s original wedding band and round diamonds from her mother’s pendant.
10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY REFRESH
We updated the original engagement ring by incorporating diamonds from my client’s original wedding band and diamonds from her Mom’s pendant. It was the perfect way to refresh her ring for her 10th Anniversary.
